Why This Matters

Cash still plays a critical role in everyday life. It helps support access for unbanked communities, offers privacy in a digital world, works when systems go down, and gives people more control over how they spend. This challenge is about experiencing that firsthand.

This Challenge

Use cash for as many day-to-day purchases as you can—things like food, gas, groceries, shopping, and services. You don’t need to change how you pay bills or shop online. Just focus on your real, everyday spending.

What to Do

As you go, pay attention to what stands out: when cash makes things easier, when it doesn’t, and how people respond. Capture a few moments along the way (photos, quick videos, or notes), and share them with us.
